3. Adjust the Wig Cap:

Place the wig cap over your head, ensuring it covers all your hair. Adjust it to sit comfortably on your forehead, ensuring it's not too tight.

4. Brush Your Wig:

Gently comb or brush the wig to remove any tangles. Starting from the tips and working your way up to the roots can help prevent damage.

5. Apply Adhesive (If Needed):

If your wig requires adhesive for a secure fit, follow the product instructions carefully. Common adhesives include wig tape or glue. Only use products designed for wigs and follow safety guidelines.

6. Place the Wig on Your Head:

How To Measure Your Wig Cap Size?

Wigs have their own unique sizing norms, just like shoes or dresses, but few people buy and wear wigs regularly, so first-time buyers sometimes have no idea about these conventions. Finding the right wig size, however, is not difficult.

Although normal size wigs typically fit the majority of wearers, our selection also includes a good number of wigs in petite and large sizes. The majority of our wigs also feature velcro straps that are adjustable and can flex up to half an inch, allowing you to find a more snug and comfortable fit.

To ensure a correct cap size, please take the following measurements:

1. Circumference: Place the tape measure along the hairline and rake the head in a circle.
2. Front to Nape: Measure from the center of the forehead backward along the top of the head to the back of the neck.
3. Ear to Ear across forehead: Measure from the left ear along the hairline to the right ear.
4. Ear to Ear over top: Measure from the left ear along the top of the head to the right ear.
5. Temple to Temple round back: From temple to temple across the back of head.
6. Nape of Neck: Measure the width of the hairline across the nape of the neck.

How to Measure a Wig Based on Texture?

Wigs are measured from the crown's hair's root to its ends. In order to acquire an accurate measurement, hair must be pulled straight during measurement for both curly and wavy styles.

The texture of a natural hair wig is one of the most important factors that can influence the length of the hair, especially when we talk about curly or wavy hair. Here are the differences you may find between the length described in the product description and when wearing it, depending on the product's texture:

Natural Straight or Bone Straight Hair Wig

You won't encounter any issues with length when choosing this type of natural hair wig. The reason is quite straightforward - straight hair doesn't have any twists or curls that can affect its length. So, rest assured that when selecting a natural straight hair wig, you'll get the exact length as described. If the wig is 18 inches long, you can be confident that the hair will flow straight down to the middle of your back.

Wavy Hair Wig

As for natural wavy hair wigs, the hair might appear slightly shorter than its actual length because the length naturally contracts within those waves. However, the difference is generally not significant. If the product description mentions a hair length of 12 inches, you'll get a wig with hair that's about 11 inches long during wear.

Natural Curly Wig

The difference in hair length when acquiring a curly wig will be somewhat noticeable, as curly wigs may appear about 1 to 2 inches shorter than their actual length. So, due to the curling of the hair, if you purchase a natural hair wig with a length of 14 inches, it will measure between 12 to 13 inches during wear.

How to choose the correct length?

Kfhair offers hair lengths from 8 inches to 30 inches. Depending on your preferences and needs, you can optionally choose the length you want. Since the curly and wavy extensions are processed from straight styles, curly and wavy hair will be shorter by 1″ to 2 ” than straight hair in the same length. Therefore, when measuring, hair should be pulled straight to get accurate measurements.

If you're working with a wig that's 100 percent human hair, then yep! You can just use regular color-depositing hair dye, as if you were dyeing the hair on your head

5. Can I use heat appliances on my wig?

You may use heat appliances such as hair dryers, rollers, curling or straightening irons to give your human hair wig a personal style; however, try not to use these regularly when creating new wig styles. Always use heat-protecting spray before using heat on your hair

6. How do I store my wig?

The best way to store your wig is on a wig stand. Not only does this help prevent your wig from becoming tangled or flat between wearing, it also helps to maintain your wigs style and shape. Ideally, your wig should be stored in a clean, dry place, away from dust and sources of high heat or flame. If you do not have a wig stand always store your wig turned inside out and place it in a shoe box or similar.

7. How do I choose the right colour of wig?

If you want to play it safe and you're aiming to achieve a natural look then try to stick to something close to your natural hair colour / a shade that will compliment your skin tone. Don't be afraid to try something a little out there though - you never know what might suit!
